St. David’s Catholic Secondary School, Waterloo, was the scene of the 2018 Knights of Columbus Basketball Free Throw competitions. Striving for the right to advance to the Regional Finals February 24th, over 180 eager entrants from Ontario were competing to reach the three top spots. A large group of friends and family cheered on the competitors from the bleachers. To ensure a successful tournament, K of C volunteers from Council 1504 included Brother Knights Pat McGrath, Fernando Melo, PGK Brian Schmalz, Mike van Lammeren and Wayne Keffer.
Where did it go? Brothers Brian Schmalz and Fernando Melo wait for the ball to return to the court as the 2018 K of C Basketball Free Throw competition continues at St. David’s Catholic Secondary School.

Although the numbers were down, parents and friends watched as the competitors took part in the 2018 K of C Basketball Free Throw challenges.
